What happened

On , thieves broke into a FedEx truck near PSA's building in Santa Ana, California, and took PSA orders on their way back to customers. PSA then switched off the cert number of every stolen card, 6,451 in all, and published the list.

Never sent cards to PSA? Then none of your cards were on that truck, and nothing on this site is about them.

If you are offered one of these slabs

  1. Check the cert. Type the number from the label into the cert checker. If the card is out of its slab, search the full list by name.

  2. Do not buy it, and do not confront the seller.

  3. Write down what you saw. The cert number, the listing or the seller, and where and when you saw it.

  4. Report it. Call the Santa Ana Police Department or the FBI's Los Angeles office. They are investigating the theft together.

Questions about the theft

Answers come from PSA's update and news reports, as of October 23, 2026. Spotted an error, or have a source we missed? Email hello@slabheist.com.

Does this affect me or my kid's cards?

Only cards that were inside PSA's return shipments on that truck. If you never sent cards to PSA, your cards are not affected. Cards kept at home, and new packs from a store, were never part of this theft. If you did send an order to PSA, PSA has been emailing affected customers, and you can paste your cert numbers into the checker.

What affected customers should know

How do I check if a PSA slab was stolen in the FedEx theft?

Type or paste the cert number from the slab's label into the checker on this page. It compares the number with all 6,451 certs on PSA's theft list and tells you right away whether it matches. It covers this theft only, so also look the cert up on PSA's site to confirm the card and grade.

What does a deactivated PSA cert mean?

PSA deactivated the cert numbers of the stolen slabs and published all 6,451 of them on October 23, 2026. PSA's own lookup can show a cert as deactivated without saying why, so that result alone does not prove a slab was stolen. If the cert is on the theft list, the checker here says so.

What should I do if I am offered a stolen slab?

Do not buy it and do not confront the seller. Write down the cert number, the listing or seller, and where you saw it. Then report it to the Santa Ana Police Department or the FBI, which are investigating the theft together. PSA's update lists both tip lines.

Can a stolen card be taken out of its slab?

Yes. Once a card is cracked out of its slab, it has no cert number to check. That matters for rare, expensive singles: if someone offers you one out of its slab and it matches a card on the list, search the full list by player, character or set and ask where it came from before you buy.

Search the stolen cards

How much were the stolen cards worth?

At least $963,000. That is PSA's estimate as given to police, and it covers two of the three pallets. Police have said the exact value has not been determined. PSA's list has no grades or prices, so SlabHeist estimates each card at PSA 10, 9 and 8 from cited public sales, and every card we have not priced yet says "Price check pending".

How we price cards

Have any of the stolen slabs been recovered?

None had been reported as of October 23, 2026, and no arrests had been announced. The Santa Ana Police Department and the FBI are investigating.
